So long and Thanks for all the fish

Last Monday (Frisbee Night) I was preparing to go off to play, when my wife was preparing some dinner. She was just heating up some left-over noodles we took from her Grandmas party.
She asked me if I wanted any, but I thought if I ate, I might not be too bloated to run, so I decline....and Thank god I did.

Because at about 2 am the next morning, my wife was throwing up left right and center!!
I had to quickly take her to the local 24 hours clinic and get her checked up. Luckily it was just mild case of food poisoning.

She was given an injection to stop her vomitting and she was advised to drink lots of fliud and eat simple food like toast for the next 2 days.

Anyway she is better now, but imagine if I didn't go to frisbee??.....OUCH!!

What is a Shiatsu Massage


Had a Shiatsu massage yesterday. It was my first time expriencing the pain of the shiatsu massage and it is also my first time massage by a guy. I can conclude that both experience is very un-comfortable.

The shiatsu is very similar to the Thai dry massage, in which it uses pressure points and stretching, rather than kneading your muscle like remedial. The practioner should first find his centre and determine how my chi was before he starts manipulating my chi.

Damn the massage hurts like hell!!
If you ever addicted to pain, then I suggest a shiatsu massage will cure you from such an affliction.

As for getting "touched" by a strange man... is another uncomfortable moment.
Of course the guy is stronger which means his massage is much more heavy handed than the female, but also the feeling or hairy arms on your body is definately YUCK!!

So inconclusion, my next massage will definately be a remedial and it will be from a nice young female, with long legs and tender fingers =)

Had some chinese last night and got some fortune cookies and this is what they say:

My parents have always reminded me that they were married and with kids at my age and I should do the same. When I was studying, I was expected to study well so I can get a good job. Once I have a good job, I was expected to get a good wife. Once I get a wife, I am immediately expected to have a child!!

I must say that I got married in my late 20s and I can say that I very fussy with the girls I went out with. I think that the longer you are single, the harder it is to meet some you like, cause you are set in your ways and it is harder to compromise and assimilate to couplehood.

I have friends who are in the 30s and 40s who are still single, because when they were younger they wanted to enjoy life and party hard. They wanted to see the world and climb the corporate ladder. But now that they have achieved their personal dreams they are ready to share their other dreams with someone else.... but it is not easy to find like minded people.

And society is not helping with finding the right partner, when they keep telling you that you need to work harder and make more money so that you can enjoy life. Society is telling you that most marriages will end in divorce. Society is telling you that are it alright to live the life of the carefree. Societies are telling you that it is alright to test drive the car and not buy it!!

So why in the world would you want to settle down?

A friend of mine VD just told me that our mutual friend (CY) younger sister has just pass away suddenly recently...

She passed away a few months ago, but the news just surfaced because CY have been in silent to all of us. She still do not want to talk about it and I can understand it. But how do I tell her that I know about her sorrow and how do I tell her that we are all there for her.

Fear echos in my heart and mind when death is so close to my door.

It is always the same, someone will ask me where are you ?
I reply "I am from Sydney...etc"
but usually they will go on and ask "...but where are you from
originally" or "..were you born here/there" or "...where are your parents from"

I get the same stuff when I say I'm Malaysian, its like "...where's your accent
from."...blah blah blah.

I speak like an aussie, and I have a certificate telling me that I am an aussie, but in the end I am still a Malaysian. I have been in Oz for more than half my life, but I'll never be accepted an Australian, because I am not white.

This is what I really miss about Malaysia, you can be who you are and no one would question your origin....

The erfect Fathers day gift

My wife is sick again ...
She is having headache and starting to have a fever last night. I don't know why but she is constantly sick. she believes that it is her job. She is constantly busy with multiple project and work to late into the night...

I try to help her and take care of her, but what can I do if she just have a weak immune system. I advise her to exercise, but she is normally too tired from work to do anything.

We take vitamins and try to eat healthy, but it is pretty hard when both of us work and come home late... what can you do ?

My younger sister has been bitching about my parents and her life again and she wants to move out...

First I have to tell you some stuff about my sister. She is the youngest in the family, she is 20 years old, living with my folks, was studying early childhood in Tafe after high school but she changed her mind, so now she is working in my dad's shop.

Oh also her boy-friend is living at my folks place too (as a paying tenant).

Sounds like she got a pretty laid back life right ??... well you would think.
But she can't stand my mum controlling her life (eg don't stay out too late etc..) and she thinks that she is not getting paid enough from my dad.

What she can't seems to see is that she is damn lucky!!
She is living at home and she doesn't have pay for any of the utilities. She gets her 3 meals a day, all her laundry is done for her and her room is cleaned everyday by my grandma!!

My dad pays for her car!
She can basically go into to work and go home anytime she wants, cause my dad can't say no to her....!!


So I think she should leave home and find out how "easy" life is outside on the real world...

What is the first book you remember reading ?

I still remember the day my old school buddy loan me my first Fantasy book,
Pawn of Prophecy. It was the first I read for myself, rather than being told by your teacher.

The story of Garion and his friends really got me addicted!!
I read the whole series in less than 3 months!
I could not put it down.
It has been over 10 years since I have read the first book and lately I feel the need to get back into the world.

I am not hunting for the series on Ebay.. =)

We had a family dinner at the local Chinese Restaurant last night, to celebrate Father's day. It started well but as usual my Mum and my younger sister will have an argument. My Mum will start to raise her voice and my sister will retaliate...

So I told both of them to shut up and just stop arguing. Of course they ignored me, but atleast after a while they stopped.

And so I thought that was the end of it. Later in the evening, when I was at home, I got an SMS from my Mum, telling me, why do I have to be rude to her infront of my Wife??!!

I am rude?!

So what do you consider it to be when she is fighting with my sister in public, infront of my wife and my sister's boyfriend?

I just wanted them to stop arguing and enjoy the dinner.... why am I crucified?

So Here I am, on my first day of my new job. I come in at 8.00 am to be prepared for all the hard work ahead and guess what...

They don't have a PC for me....
well they don't even have a security card for me!!

So for the first 4 hours of my time, I was doing the meet and greet and reading a project doc.

After lunch I was presented with a desktop and a monitor, which then I had to look for a Keyboard and mouse. After I set it all up, I had to get someone else to login for me (since I still do not have a username).

So now I can atleast browse the net and try not to fall asleep, reading docos....

On the upside, I am paid hourly.... so lets home the easy time stays as is =)

I know I have always said that I'll only get DSL, when I get my own place, but this is a complimentary account =)

The company gave us a free DSL line and a free modem!! YEah Baby!!

I can finally surf the web at hope, and maybe even get some new movies online =)

I am going to try out torrent, but do you know any other places to get go movies?

One downside about have complimentary dsl is that they expect you to work at home too =(
This means that I'll have to setup a VPN and do home overtime .... yuck!

After 1 month of trying to fit in to a new company, I am leaving again. Hopefully it will be a greener pasture. I am sure it will be a better paid one!!
